At American Muslim Athletics (AMA), we are more than just a sports league—we are a movement driven by faith, community, and impact. Founded with the mission of uniting people through sports and giving back to those in need, AMA stands as a beacon of excellence, values, and inclusivity. Our motto, "Daawah Through Sports," reflects our commitment to leading by example, using athletics as a means to inspire, connect, and uplift.
What began as a basketball tournament to support humanitarian efforts in Palestine and Yemen has grown into a dynamic organization impacting thousands. Over the past two years, AMA has brought together over 1,000 participants and raised more than $20,000 for global and local causes. From hosting volleyball tournaments with collegiate athletes to establishing our second season of basketball leagues, we continue to evolve while staying grounded in our principles of trust, collaboration, and faith.
We proudly work with mosques, youth, and families to offer a wide variety of sports and activities, including flag football, soccer, golf, badminton, pickleball, and more. Our events go beyond competition—we create a space where community bonds are strengthened, values are shared, and memories are made. With features like custom-designed jerseys, 4K game film highlights, live stats, official courts, and professional referees, we ensure every athlete feels like a star both on and off the field.
AMA isn’t just about sports; it’s about building a legacy. We collaborate with local governments, cities like Dearborn, Detroit, Taylor, Brownstown, and Ann Arbor, as well as businesses and clothing brands, to amplify our impact. From hosting America’s largest Ramadan tournament to organizing charity drives and giveaways, we strive to leave a lasting mark on every individual we reach.
Our family-friendly events bring entire communities together, embodying the spirit of unity and fostering an environment where faith and fun coexist. By working hand in hand with our sponsors, we not only promote their brands through high-quality videos and engagement but also align their values with ours, ensuring mutual growth and support.
